Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing

This classic hymn was rarely sung in the 55 years I attended First Baptist Jacksonville because they focused more on gospel music than on ultra-traditional hymns. More recently I began to look at some of the traditional hymns and the beautiful lyrics that are contained in them.

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing is one that really speaks to me today. I had been thinking about doing an orchestra arrangement of this hymn for a couple of years and had some thoughts about the direction of the arrangement but hadn't taken the time to sit down and write it.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, I had more time to create, so I decided to finally sit down and write it. I really enjoy hearing this now. When I completed it, it concluded softly with a final statement by the flute. I was very happy with that, but because of the potential of what could be a more powerful ending, I thought maybe I should create an optional 2nd ending that ends more forte to give conductors an option.

Both options are included in the purchase of this arrangement.
